FAFSA – Step #1

Seniors!  Before you can fill our your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in January, you MUST apply for an FSA ID number (formerly known as your PIN number).  This is an important number that you will keep and use throughout the life of your financial aid, so………..DO NOT LOSE IT!  Your parent will also need an FSA ID if they don’t already have one, as they will have to complete portions of the FAFSA as well.  To get your FSA ID, go to https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm.  This can be done anytime, but must be done prior to starting your FAFSA.
